No Exit is pleased to be presenting the second installment in the ensemble’s year-long celebration of the music, mind, mirth and mayhem of the original musical Dadaist, Erik Satie. In an effort to present Satie’s music as just not a bit of history, but as part of a ‘living’ legacy, No Exit has commissioned seven new pieces which represent each composer’s personal take on Satie and how his influence has shaped their own musical universe. These will be presented in the form of six short piano pieces a-la-Satie (composed by Geoffrey Burleson, David Rakowski, Robert Honstein, Kevin Eppich, James Praznik and Timothy Beyer) along with a structured improvisation based on Monsieur Satie’s incomparable "Vexations". The program will also feature works by Heinz Holliger, Georges Delerue, and a world premiere performance of Buck McDaniel’s "Ride". This is going to be a truly unique and wonderful musical experience!

This concert series is made possible by the generous support of Cuyahoga Arts and Culture. No Exit is honored to be a partner of CAC.

Free and open to the public.
